November 2024 Development Release: Empowering Business Users

We would like to express gratitude for your continued support and feedback. Like every month, we have added new functionality and improved the website. We would like to draw your attention to the projects we have successfully enhanced and the products that have released. Subscribe to our SeaRates newsletter and gather our updates.

Feel free to explore the new features.

Tracking System

For web access and web-integrated versions, we have implemented a range of updates, namely:

  • Added a "Book Now" button in shipment tracking, allowing to access the new version of the Logistics Explorer
  • Updated the design and functionality
  • Added tooltips with the names of shipping lines on the logo

Moreover, API improvements are the following:

  • Enhanced the logic for retrieving additional vessel data
  • Implemented a new formula for predictive ETA

Air Cargo Tracking

We’ve added support for 5 airlines, namely AirMax (Peru), Aloha Air Cargo, Corendon Dutch Airlines, Azerbaijan Airlines, and Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, bringing the total number of supported airlines to 437.

Rail Tracking

We have implemented a range of API improvements, including:

  • added a separate API request for retrieving the list of supported railway carriers
  • created the ‘container_size_type’ field to display the size and type of the container (e.g., "20' Dry Standard")
  • improved logic for determining arrival times

Parcel Tracking

We are glad to inform you that we have added support for Leman, increasing the total number of supported providers to 2,417.

Moreover, we have enhanced autodetect logic for streamlined API requests.

Ship Schedules

We are glad to announce that we have added support for Namsung, SITC, KambaraKisen, Culines, and Sinokor by Vessel, Romocean by Points, Namsung, and KambaraKisen by Port.

Additional information for the 'by Port' search now includes details about vessels currently in the port or that have been there within the last 48 hours, as well as vessels that have arrived or departed within the last 48 hours.

Virtual Office

Gather more booking analytics in your Dashboard, including Bookings by Countries, Mode of Transport, Shipping Type, and Route under the More Info section from the Bookings Overview by Shipping Type chart. Now, when you switch between the Active Bookings and Requests tabs, the data updates both on the map and in the Overview by Shipping Type chart.

For the ‘Bookings’ tab:

In the ‘Documents’ section, we fully updated the design and interface. Downloaded documents will be displayed only to the owner and manager of the booking by default. Downloaded files will be available to other booking parties via the ‘Show’ button only after review and approval.

Logistics Map & TMS

For the Transport Management System, we have implemented the option to get detailed information on the transport unit by clicking on the ‘Transport Name’ in the list and accessing the full transport card in the Logistics Map tool.

Also, you can create a cover image (thumbnail) for a transport unit in the Logistics Map and TMS tools.

Other updates

For the Search Filter, we have added a new customization option — the ‘Button hover color’ for color adjusting the search button.

Finally, to the Request an IT Quote form, we added informative tooltips for Freight Index, Air Cargo Tracking, Cargo Wizard, CO2 Calculator, Demurrage and Storage Calculator, World Sea Ports, SeaRates Mobile App, SeaRates Enterprise, Parcel Tracking, Logistics Map Web access, Web integration, and API.
